On Friday 15th of August, Thorrington school sent 3 chess teams to the… PRESS CHESS TOURNAMENT!!!! We sent in 2 teams for the
A-grade and 1 for the B-grade. The teams had 4 people in each team. The C team came 3rd in their division, the B team came 4th, and the A team came 1st!!!! The A team players are: Board 1-Lochlan Boddy, Board 2- Thomas Moot, Board 3- Cameron Avery and Board 4- Aaron Gyles. The A team will be going to the Canterbury’s, on the 22/08/08 and will play against 6 of the top teams in Canterbury!!!
